- Content you upload — photographs, captions, and comments you post to the App.
- Usage data — interactions such as likes, follows, and views, used to personalise your feed and improve the App.
- Device information — device type and OS version, collected for crash reporting and compatibility purposes.
- EXIF metadata — camera model, lens, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and capture date attached to your uploaded photos, displayed alongside your images.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate and improve the App and its features.
- To display your content to other users of the App.
- To send you push notifications about activity on your account, if you have enabled them.
- To diagnose and fix technical issues using crash and device data.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Data Storage
Your account data and uploaded content are stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage. Data may be stored on servers located in the European Union or the United States. Supabase's own privacy and security policies apply to stored data.
User-Generated Content
Photos, captions, and comments you post are visible to other users of the App. Please do not post content that contains sensitive personal information you do not wish to share publicly.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, or to request deletion of your account and all associated data, please contact us using the details below.
Children's Privacy
FOCAL is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
